Storage. We offer free storage for short periods and can help you with finding storage companies suitable for your long term storage from our tried and tested list.
Breakable items: Wrap carefully in paper/bubble wrap and fit snugly into boxes. Tape and label as fragile. A useful tip is to pack plates sideways
Mirrors and Pictures: Any smaller items that can be bubble wrapped and boxed do. Large picture and mirrors should be bubble wrapped
Books and heavy boxed items: Please use smaller sized boxes to pack these for easier handling.
Soft furnishings/clothing: Invest in some sturdy clothing storage bags or better still large vacuum pack bags to save space with these
Large furniture items: We take care of these and have removals blankets to wrap them in
Petrol operated garden machinery/motorbikes: Please ensure they are drained of fuel. No dripping tanks/oil leaks please! If you know you have a leaky bit of kit, please be honest for the sake of others and tell us so as we can surround it with absorbent paper.
Pot plants: Surround foliage with a tube of card if possible. Keep watering to a minimum a few days before the move to minimise weight and mess! We pride ourselves on our scrupulously clean vans and for the benefit of other clients we ask that all plant pots are put into bin bags prior to transportation. Plant transportation is at the clients discretion but please remember that customs at the port can and will confiscate plants at certain times and this is beyond our control
Pianos: it is vital that we know we are moving one of these prior to your move so as we can bring the necessary equipment on the day.
We ARENOT allowed to transport the following items: flammable fuel and liquids, gas cylinders, tobacco, alcohol, food, explosives, firearms, fireworks or animals.
Last but by no means least: Have a good chuck out!!! If you have boxes unpacked from your last move, do you really need the contents???!!! Never clutter up a holiday home – is only more to move back if you decide to sell it on and more for others to break if you plan to let it out!
